originally joined as an apprentice in the rotary label department. Since moving on from Harlands, David has developed an enviable range of experiences in places as far away as Israel, China, Indonesia and Goa with companies including Kopack, Skanem and Arpeco UK, where he was Technical Director. David will focus on further improving productivity, progressing quality and developing capacity planning.
Commenting on the three new positions, Managing Director Ian Wright said, “Appointing the right people to senior positions like these is crucial to a business like ours. We have a great team of people and providing them with support from experienced personnel like Andrew, David further increases our ability to deliver results.”
Harlands Labels is part of the Specialist Packaging Division of the Clondalkin Group which specialises in cartons, labels, leaflets and inserts, with 15 manufacturing sites in the United Kingdom, Ireland, the Netherlands, Poland, USA, Canada and Puerto Rico. These include well-known brands such as the Boxes Group, Ditone and Pharmagraphics.

Harlands creates 2 senior positions
Harlands Labels has filled three newly created senior positions to manage the increasing and diverse needs of its growing client base.
Andrew McConnell has moved from the sales team to become Commercial Manager. Andrew has spent many years on the sales side of Harlands and other leading label businesses giving him a fantastic understanding of the issues that customers face in the day to day management of label projects. Taking control of the customer services department, Andrew will be developing the way in which Harlands interacts with customers, driving efficiency improvements and progressing their already market facing business to become even more customer focussed.
